Notable & Quotable: Rush Limbaugh

During his radio broadcast yesterday, conservative host Rush Limbaugh took a moment to respond to Richard Wolffe, a liberal author and MSNBC contributor who accused the GOP of — what else? — racism.

As we noted earlier this week, Wolffe claimed that the GOP refused to alter its presidential debate plans because Obama is black: “The interesting question is: What is it about this president that has stripped away the veneer of respect that normally accompanies the Office of the President? Why do Republicans think this president is unpresidential and should dare to request this kind of thing? It strikes me that it could be the economic times, it could be that he won so big in 2008 or it could be, let’s face it, the color of his skin. This is an extraordinary reaction to a normal sequence of events,” Wolffe explained during a prime time MSNBC broadcast.

On Thursday, El Rushbo fired back at the ridiculous accusation in a way only Rush can:

“If they ever do a colonoscopy on Obama, they’re going to find Richard Wolffe’s head there.”
